Beverly appeared in the 1951 theatrical movie "Superman and the Mole Men," which was subsequently edited into two half hour segments. These became the first two episodes of TV's "The Adventures of Superman," starring George Reeves and Phyllis Coates.
Although Beverly appeared in "Superman and the Mole Men" she never met George Reeves (Superman) or Phyllis Coates (Lois Lane) until a few years later. George Reeves played Beverly's father on an episode of "The Ford Theater." This was a rare departure from Reeves' "Superman" portrayal. Beverly's brother on that special Christmas program was played by the late Tommy Rettig, star of "Lassie!" Phyllis Coates played the part of a nurse on the 1955 sitcom "Professional Father," on which Beverly was a series regular.
"Professional Father" was broadcast live on CBS-TV for a full season. Beverly's mother on that series was played by Barbara Billingsley, who would gain fame a few years later, as June Cleaver on "Leave it to Beaver." On the first episode of "Professional Father," Barbara Billingsley was discussing her son's baseball team, which was coincidentally named, "The Beavers!"
Beverly appeared on the very first episode of TV's Wagon Train with Ward Bond. She was cast on that program three times, including an episode called "The Tobios Jones Story" where she appeared together with Lou Costello in his first dramatic role.

On the set of "Wagon Train," there was so much foul language being tossed about by the star, Ward Bond, the entire production was nearly closed down because young Beverly was within earshot.
Beverly appeared on Jack Benny's Radio show in the early 1950s and did a nine minute guest spot on Benny's third TV show. On that episode, Beverly was even serenaded by Bing Crosby's brother, Bob. On many occasions Beverly toured the nation with Jack Benny's live stage show, performing in comedy sketches.

Beverly appeared with Bing Crosby in the Oscar winning movie, "Here Comes the Groom." In that 1951 musical comedy, Beverly played a French war orphan and a young, French actor played her adopted brother. Although that European child star could not understand a word of English, he learned and spoke his lines phonetically. Beverly, who was in nearly every scene, never spoke a word of English.... only French!
Beverly appeared in the very first motion picture to be filmed in Israel. In "The Juggler" starring Kirk Douglas, young Beverly portrayed a former Nazi war camp prisoner. She befriended Douglas as they began their new lives in Israel after World War II.
Walt Disney had a tremendous stable of child actors, including all of those "Mouseketeers." Yet, he reached beyond his regular contract players to secure Beverly for a featured role in the classic movie, "Old Yeller."

Beverly appeared in more than 500 TV shows and movies. She was one of Hollywood's busiest actors!
Beverly as "Lila," was saved from a savage tribe by the Lone Ranger and Tonto in the theatrical move, "The Lone Ranger," starring Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels. Beverly was on the set when the Lone Ranger split his pants while mounting Silver!
AND... look who gave Beverly her first screen kiss ... and maybe vice versa ...
